So what do we need for a children’s party?

  1. Decorations – A children’s party is not a party without party decorations. Popular decorations include Happy Birthday Banners, Birthday Bunting and Birthday Balloons. It is always worth buying plenty of birthday decorations to make sure that both inside and outside your venue look the part.
  2. Tableware – A children’s party usually involves some party food and plates and tablecloths are usually useful. However, children like their birthday table to look special and often themed. Brightly coloured tableware can make the occasions special.. As birthday tableware is normally disposable, it will make your life easy when it comes to clearing up at the end and stops your best crockery from getting broken.
  3. Party Bags – A child will often expect to get a party bag at the end of a party to take away with them. Never under estimate the party bag. It can be very time consuming to find lots of things to put in the bag and it can be even more difficult when it comes to catering for both boys and girls.
  4. The Cake – its official! Birthdays need birthday cakes. Cakes have many purposes, they symbolize a birthday. They are used to make wishes by blowing out the candles whilst everyone sings happy birthday. They are also quite useful for eating and a slice is usually included in the party bag.
  5. Games and Activities – Make sure you have some games and activities lined up for the children to keep them out of mischief. Often music based games are useful. Don’t forget to think about the weather. It is always worth planning both indoor and outdoor activities.
  6. Invitations – A party is not a party without guests. It is always worth writing out invitations to parties so you know who is coming and to stop people from forgetting to attend. Make sure that you include everything about the party including themes and fancy address. It is always worth adding an R.S.V.P slip at the bottom to help people reply. Make a special note to make sure that other parents warn you in advance of any special dietary requirements.
  7. Help – If you have a lot of children attending your party then it is worth getting some help from another parent or adult it will also stop you from getting too tired.

Remembering these 7 things will help you organize a great party for your kids and their friends.
